BS. Read some American history. Every armed citizen is a defacto member of “the militia” as defined by the Constitution. The militia existed before the nation, it is identified and protected by the Constitution, and it will exist long after whatever issues various government(s) have.

The US Constitution clearly says the militia is compulsory AND cannot serve overseas because of its constitutional mission in the militia clauses.

That was burned away in 1903 and 1916. If you think you are smarter than Dr E Vieira, go tell him where he is wrong. No one inside or outside of government has tried to correct him. Because they can’t.

Of course, that only applies is you apply an original text hermeneutic to the Constitution. If you don’t, then it’s all up for grabs. You can make it say whatever you want.
