The number of people who yammer on about “herd immunity” because they heard a smart person say it once is disturbing.
Is there “herd immunity” for any of the other human coronaviruses? (no). Have any of the 40 years of projects to develop a vaccine for any of the other human coronaviruses succeeded? (no).

I think you’re right. The answer is therapeutics, and dealing with the co-morbidities that make it fatal. That brings us back to heart disease, diabetes, obesity... the real cause of death for so many.
