Isn’t it wonderful. We rescued Marley from a nearby apartment building. She had mange and other things. She became our Cinderella. Her life was hell outside. Within a few months of bringing her in she looked so much better and happier and lived out the remaining year of her life warm, comfortable, and relatively healthy. Treating mangy foxes is a gift of life too. It’s easy and saves them so much hell because manage affects, joints and organs I believe. Using a small dose of Ivermectin in chicken legs. It’s miraculous.

“It took a loooong time, but she is now a love bug.”

I was given two cats that were sisters and needed to stay together. They had never had a fur-ever home and were already 4 years old, shuffled here and there.

They lived in our basement for THREE YEARS before they ventured upstairs to be part of the family. (In their defense, it was pretty noisy with three boys, but the boys loved animals and were never mean to them or anything.)

But, then they both lived to be 15 years old and were sweethearts and even got along with our two Labs and a Basset at the time. ;)

Ask your animal hospital about the steroid prednisolone.

We took in an abandoned kitten five years ago this past August. She vomited often; it became worse and more frequent. She began losing weight; it obviously distressed her to feel so poorly. This past spring our DVM a form of irritable bowel syndrome; she prescribed prednisolone in solution administered by mouth. The cat quit vomiting immediately and has gained weight; she’s now calmer, happier, plump & prosperous.

Our senior cat turns 18 in one month. Four years ago he developed stomatitis and had to have all his teeth removed; sometimes that improves stomatitis but not always. His failed to clear up. He was unable to eat and nearly starved to death before our animal hospital prescribed prednisolone by mouth. The cat quickly reverted to normal eating habits and regained most of the weight. He enjoys even dry food: swallows it whole because he cannot chew much.

“...This past spring our DVM a form of irritable bowel syndrome...” should read “...This past spring our DVM diagnosed a form of irritable bowel syndrome...”

Maybe you can find a 3 legged dog to trip or a sick animal to torture. Your posts scream, “Look at me!” You do this a lot on animal threads.....show your cruel personality.

I hope it’s just a schtick you use to get attention & not real. Your poor cat.

We took in a feral kitten that was trapped outside my office. Very young, scared, and a fighting spitfire. She’s 99% domesticated now. Don’t know how a Russian Blue would come to be feral, but she sure looks like one.

The Japanese are ga-ga about heterochromia, and while only the Japanese bobtail cat might typically have it, it makes them a valuable celebrity. Often among their mythical characters, having heterochromia is seen as a trail exclusive to royalty.

We picked a Japanese bobtail kitten out of a road on the Miura Peninsula back in the summer of 1986. He was about 9 days old. My wife fed him using a toy baby bottle that came with a doll.

Down the years veterinarians told us to put him down on three separate occasions. Every time my wife took him home and cared for him, and one day he would get up and decide to go on living. Changed my outlook on euthanasia.

That’s a wonderful story. Our feral lived for years outside. We set up an insulated dog house on a table in the carport & filled it w/ fleece blankets. One extremely cold winter we snatched her indoors. She quickly learned a warm house was wonderful. She’s now a big old house baby. Fur babies are the best.
