Reading those “defenses”, only Downey offered real support and full throated defense. Good for him.
I think Downey Jr. is more of a “Bushie” Republican, than a fan of Trump, but in Hollywood, that puts you to the Right of Attila the Hun.
That is because Downey's faith led him out of the drug-addled hell that destroyed his life and career -- a hell sparked by his own drug-addicted father, who started smoking pot with his son at SIX YEARS OLD!
Downey has seen a lot and has had his own rock bottom and personal failings so I imagine he is a bit more rational than most Hollywood types.
Maybe because he went through a 12-Step program to defeat his own drug and alcohol addictions and knows the power of GOD.
