Jackie Gleason, wasn't it? Or was he the "One of these days, Alice . . . right to the moon!" guy? (Either way, he's one of my all-time favorites). :-)

Heck, your right! My Dear old Dad loved that show. I’m sure I laughed too, but probably missed out on the adult nuances of JG’s humor.

Both. Gleason had a segment on his show called “The Honeymooners”. He was Ralph Cramden, and his wife was Alice, and he would say both of those things to her. My parents, especially my father, liked that segment.

My mother’s favorite part was the dancing by the June Taylor Dancers.
