Well, I guess they didn’t have a very strong marriage.

That’s too bad.

Been married for 30 years and I can’t imagine divorcing over a sports game.

At some point any decent woman is going to demand you grow up. Even after the dust settled, the guy is blaming the QB. Sounds like an idiot.

When a spouse has issues with low impulse control and zero coping skills, generally sports losses aren’t the only triggers. I have a feeling it happened often before this game, and this was her last straw. And if it did happen often, they probably didn’t have a very strong marriage — you’re right about that.

(I worked with abused spouses 20-25 years ago — both genders — so have a small inkling about the big picture.)
