You can judge for yourself the snickering delight of the chattering media, and some Democrats, at his positive test, and those of other GOP politicians. This is perhaps understandable, although those who are actively pulling for their death are behaving in a very ugly manner.
But rather than dwelling on that, I am writing about how versions of what we have seen with the President, his staff, and others around them are being re-enacted across the country in schools and in businesses.

“Did we ever shutdown because of Polio?”
Some places did. Polio affected the younger at a higher rate.
We live in the place where we had the first known cases and deaths in the country. This is because there are half a million new arrivals from China living amongst us, many who went home for Chinese New Years. We even worked and volunteered at the first place that had deaths in the country. There is almost no way that we were not exposed. We had flu like symptoms earlier in the year, but there were no tests available at that time and we probably would not have bothered to get tested anyway.
My neighbor and her husband had bad flu symptoms but they said that it was alright because they tested positive for the flu. I told her just because they had the flu didn’t mean she didn’t also have Covid at the same time. And if they had died... they would have been counted as “presumptive covid deaths” by CDC guidelines. That is the way it has worked this year... Fake statistics to justify shutting down the economy in a blatent attempt to get rid of President Trump.
“Well, colds are themselves caused by coronaviruses, specifically the rhinovirus family.”
Rhinoviruses are not coronaviruses.
Methinks the current COVID-19 “pandemic” and associated “public safety protocols” will be around until at least late January 2025 ...
Certain things in areas where there was an outbreak of polio were shut down...swimming pools and movie theaters, for example. This was because they were places where children tended to gather, and children were more susceptible to it. Also, it tended to occur during the summer, so children were more likely to be at these places.
Polio shut downs were the basis of the 1905 or 1908 Jacobsen vs Boston ruling that the SCOTUS ruled on that provides the power to shut down to the state and local government.
This history of disease management in the country is full of examples. Transmission was not as fast because you could shut a town down in those days.
One of the most significant mistakes in this whole pandemic was a very poor explanation of the legal and well established roles of local, state, and Federal governments. Trump could have explained it over and over, siting the roles and structures the Fed tookand why.
Instead, he positioned himself as being in charge. He was seen to be in charge of things like state, economic shutdowns, and mask mandates in areas that he LEGALLY had no control.
This whole time he should have been taking credit for what he did well, and reminding the country that all the stuff that went wrong was due to mismanagement at the state level.
And have his legal team explaining it for the common man.
This would have been an excellent case study in Federalism vs States.
Ever see a rhinovirus? Very similar to the so-called coronavirus in structure, absent the “corona”.
But I accept the correction; the virus types are classified differently. Coronaviruses most commonly cause colds.
Or, spontaneously combusting. Hopefully not at a gas station, though. :-)
Careful, or you'll get attacked like I was a couple of weeks ago.
The viruses are categorizes by cones and spikes that surround the body.
These attach to similar holes and slots on cell walls. Different cell walls have different matching sites. This is how one virus lands in one organ and not another.
The thing that makes these viruses bad is the spike doesnt just fit, it jams itself through. THAT is rare.
So a coronavirus that causes a cold doesnt have that. Covid 19 does. How it got their is know only to God and Xi.
You need to lay off MSNBC.
I read it. It was worthless. Basically, don’t take chances, but don’t get too risk averse. A real fence riding article.
“The thing that makes these viruses bad is the spike doesnt just fit, it jams itself through. THAT is rare.”
Not exactly. COVID (SARS) has a higher affinity for attaching to the A.C.E protein found in the lungs and blood.
The bottom line is that we all have to make our own risk assessments, weigh the risks against the benefits, and use judgment in deciding what is safe to do and what is not. I understand that this may require making difficult decisions.
But dont be foolhardy. And dont selfishly expose others.
Doesn’t really matter,
Once you have a covid positive result, patient is told to go home, self-quarentine and take tylenol for fever... there’s NO TREATMENT for it. If you’re hospitalized they MAY be able to help you recover. Thats what was told to my relative that tested positive after going to the clinic for flu symptoms. They went to a tele health system and are in the process of getting HCQ cocktail. Until that comes in the mail, they will have to suffer. This whole scandemic is blown out of proportion and I believe is germ warfare and politically motivated.
The bottom line is that everyone is going to get exposed. Most people have already been exposed. IMHO masks increase your chance of getting a higher viral load on exposure. It gets on your mask and then you breathe it in all day long. Thats why 85% of cases are being found in habitual mask wearers.
Im not an infectious disease expert like FauxChi. So I know what Im talking about.
Many heads of state have contracted covid, not just Donald Trump:

It is almost an occupation hazard!!
Samantha Guthrie was SO WRONG to browbeat our President for getting covid!!!!
As are the risks of dying.
That’s what they did to my mother. And she recovered.
