So wouldn't you WANT to shortcut the bureaucracy to rush a vaccine through? Not specific to COVID: in general I don't want to take a vaccine that they cut corners on. For a disease as mild as COVID I definitely don't want to.

I don't believe anyone advocates cutting corners on necessary checks.
I believe the aim is to eliminate unnecessary delay. Is that unreasonable?
