A Keaʻau woman was arrested and facing charges after refusing to wear a face mask at the post office.
Hawai‘i Police Department first came into contact with Sandra Smart, 59, at the Keaʻau Post Office and advised to put on a mask to cover her face and mouth which she refused to do. She was ultimately issued a citation for violating Mayor Harry Kim’s Emergency Rule No. 11, which requires all persons to wear a non-medical grade face covering while in public settings. SPONSORED VIDEO Officers again made contact with Smart on Friday after she was seen standing outside in line at the post office without wearing a mask.
Police asked Smart to put on a face-covering which she refused to do,” HPD stated Friday afternoon. “Police then provided her with a sanitized bagged face mask and asked her to wear the mask and she again refused.”
The 59-year-old was ultimately arrested and charged for violating the emergency rule. Her bail was set at $2,000 and she remained in the Hilo Cellblock pending her initial court appearance on Sept. 14.

That side of the island is where most of the serious dopers and rabid liberals live.
Poor Hawaii has had a mask order in effect since April. When the virus decided to take off in mid-June it did so and cases really went up fast.
Masks were well established and in use for over 2 months by then and they are supposed to slow the rate of spread.
Didn’t work.
So lets recap
She doesn’t wear a mask as free person should be able to make their own decisions.
She is confronted by cops (defund these police), who have no actual crime to investigate.
She is harassed and then arrested making them and her come in close contact and more likely to catch the Chinese virus.
She now sits in jail where again she is more likely to catch the Chinese virus, while violent rioters are released without charges.

Once again the Hawaii RATs that made these rules are showing their Nazi-like power. Due to stupidities like this one
the State’s Gov and mayor have become really bad leaders and are hated by the majority of citizens. HI was once a wonderful tourist location, but is now a far-left disaster, a ghost State.
