Testing and contact tracing can work if you have a handful of cases and can isolate the carriers and his/her contacts very quickly. Once you have more than a thousand cases, that is just a fool’s errand and it is impossible to contain it. If the disease spreads asymptomatically, then it really is an ultra fool’s errand.
Speaking of which, what happened to the notion that COVID was unique in it’s asymptomatic contagion? Was that ever confirmed or refuted? It sure faded away as an issue.
And what about the plain old flu’s numbers?
