Hopefully Team Trump will bring jamming equipment.
A RF spectrum analyzer can find the source in seconds. From there it can be jammed. The better receiver units auto frequency shift (change channels), so the spectrum analyzer will have to be active and scanning the entire debate, ready to jam the next frequency.
This is called electronic countermeasures.

I would have demanded that the debate be held in an RF cage. This would not interfere with actual hearing aids.
Hopefully, the Trump people will have some smart geeks with a spectrum analyzer nearby. I would also look for modulated IR. If they can record the signal...

Trump kknew that Mrs Bill had a wire at their debates and demonstrated that he knew it. He patted her on the back right on the wires from the battery pack to show her that he knew, then went on to make her look petty and unsharp in the debate. On her it was pretty obvious, here was a square bump between her shoulder blades. Biden’s equipment will be better hidden, perhaps on a different part of his body and will be in a faired moulding so that it isn’t so obvious.
