Only if you can’t read.

We can only go on their rulings... if Barret is pro-lockdown upholding IL governors powers

The governors power her court upheld was to make religious exemptions broader. No one was arguing against the lockdown itself and it was not part of the case.

Where, once appointed, SCOTUS members tend to go their own way and get tainted by others on the court

Well, SC justices appointed by Republican presidents tend to do this (O'Conner, Souter, Kennedy, Roberts). I'm trying to think of the last time an SC justice appointed by a Democrat president betrayed liberals - drawing a blank.

Rubio, as a professional courtesy, supports a potential nominee from HIS STATE. Doesn’t mean that she will be chosen, but it is a politeness move.

Alex Jones, the Frank Capell of today. Never heard of his lawyer friend. Anyone today can claim to be a constitutional lawyer. All they have to do is to hold a copy of the Constitution in their hand and say “I support it” without knowing much about it and its precedences histories.

Here’s Robert Barnes on twitter and his thread discussing Barrett:

I don’t understand why it HAS to be a woman.

If it's not a woman there will be a price to pay because of the election coming up. If the lawyer party succeeds in destroying the reputation of Trump's first nominee, it will be after the election and Trump will be free politically to nominate anyone.

The truth is that recent GOP male picks have been compromised or otherwise squishy. Alito was the last good one.

There have been reports of Rubio strongly pushing her. And of course she was initially put on the bench by Jeb.

Her record is troubling.. she is pro-lockdown

Why lie about her?

No she is not, that was not the issue before her. The issue before her was whether Peitzker could exempt religious gathering from the 50 person limit. The decision was unanimous that the exemption (for religious gathering) was constitutional.

So - Barnes is a tax lawyer who defended Snipes for his tax dodging and is also a civil rights advocate...maybe he’s the Trojan horse in this story...

And Lagoa got a lot of Dem votes in her confirmation. Major bells and whistles go off.

Allison Jones Rushing

Not a member of any weird(imho) religious group like Barret.

Confirmed along party lines as opposed to getting Dem votes.

She’s Protestant so she won’t think, “What would the Pope do?”. Already plenty of Catholics in the SC. Barret has said Catholics should recuse themselves from capital punishment related cases because the Catholic Church says so. Meanwhile the Pope and Catholic Church has been sliding left in a major way in recent decades.

Rather then rely on hearsay I suggest you do a little research. It is not that difficult and it will prevent you from looking like a fool. js

Well, she was right about Roberts. One of the few. (I am proud to have opposed his nomination also, as well as those of Souter and O’Connor.)
