I’m in RI, I would avoid Springfield, and also Hartford, CT if that is on your way. NH is laid back and very pretty if you take some of the backroads. Have you considered taking routes through the Berkshire region?

That’s my area. When you get to Ma. Pick up rt 90 to 495 N to 93 N to Salem. It should be smooth sailing just watch out for other motorists, everybody is speeding and the new trick is to use the right lane for passing. Liberals are unhinged around here..

And don’t take any firearms the police can find. MA will arrest you even if you follow federal laws on transporting weapons

So I've heard. Very lawless and unfortunate. I wonder if they have less of a woody about low capacity shotguns and rifles.

If you have a gun in MA, keep it out of sight.

Massachusetts is one of the worse states to get caught with an out of state handgun (along with New Jersey). Massachusetts does not honor any out of state CCW permit and has been know to be very harsh on those caught believing they were safe with their papers.

Without an MA permit, you are not permitted to carry in a vehicle, carry at rest stops, or carry in state parks. You also cannot carry any firearm with more than 10 rounds.

Best to drive around...

Personally I wouldn’t set foot in any of the States on your list. And the same goes for all of the west coast States.

Do not! Next question.

I did such years ago and could not carry a weapon in my car nor person. I refuse to visit such states today.

“Florida shares its CCW information with other states.“

That is really a bad thing. People with a permit are NOT the ones committing crimes.

Paranoid schizophrenic much? Even in Portland and Seattle, problems are confined to a few square city blocks out of millions of square miles in the states overall.

Your license probably gets run a lot more than you think as it is done automatically by lasers and you aren’t even aware it has happened.

Could be but I have been driving with impunity with expired tabs ever since the covid thing and completely ignored by law enforcement.

If you drive they don’t care. From what I have heard they only check if you fly into the states.

I travel in Spfld fairly often. The Springfield Armory museum is literally across the street from the SPFLD PD HQ/MSP Barracks on the campus of Spfld Tech Community College. The campus and immediate are is generally safe.

There is a saying in the north east:

“Watch your azz in Mass.”

Stick to the posted speed limit. The roads are an income source for the state.

Notices went out in my county we are good on expired tags until given notice otherwise. Probably January, they said.

Not at all! It’s just one of the ways I feel compelled by my conscience to respond to freaking ignorant people such as the voters in those States who have enabled criminals and thugs to destroy the lives and property of law-abiding people. Understand now, asshole?
