I made the mistake of changing my profile name in 1997.
Otherwise I would have been one of the very first Freepers. I was in the original group that came over from the Prodigy Whitewater BB with Jim Robinson and believe I was here the first day Free Republic went online.

Imagine that Whitewater was already past being current news when you started. March, 1992 was the first known article and that was in the NY Times of all places.
