Being extremely wealthy isnt the carefree, champagne-soaked free-for-all you might imagine it to be at least according to Jennifer Risher.
She and her husband, David, earned tens of millions of dollars in the tech world before the ages of 35, and suddenly found themselves in an elite tax bracket without a manual on how to navigate the potential pitfalls of isolation and strained social relationships.
We see wealth from a really narrow perspective: the glitz, the glamour and the greed, but we dont see the reality, Risher, 55, told The Post. Money is a taboo subject, but it really shouldnt be.

Just got a call from claiming I had won the PCH and was 5+ million richer. They left a robocall number in New York. No really! How much did you win?
Maybe somebody should enlighten them that they may find fulfillment through service to their fellow man.
Don’t feel sorry for them one bit, with so many people struggling right now.
Mo’ Money Mo’ Problems
Lifestyles of the rich and the famous
They’re always complainin’
Always complainin’
If money is such a problem
Well they got mansions
Think we should rob them
You won the entire Pacific Coast Highway?
0.01% problems.
Why yes, yes it does suck being.................. Oh. Never mind. Probably only wealthy because screwing over minorities using white privi................ Oh, not that either?
The interesting thing was the few stats they had on millionaires that mirrored “The Millionaire Next Door” and Chris Hogan’s “Everyday Millionaires” findings.
Talking About White Privilege Can Reduce Liberals’ Sympathy for Poor White People
New research finds that social liberals who read about the phenomenon are subsequently less forgiving toward poor whites.

Sadly, it comes with some maintaining costs associated.
What sympathy?
Then I'll be able to dredge up some sympathy for them. Note that I've clearly said I don't want the above-stated conditions to be permanent. But I do want people like them to be able to comprehend what it's like to have to live the way many of us do.
One thing I always thought about being so wealthy is you must always wonder if anyone is really your friend or really loves you.
If I was rich Id keep a low profile I think.
I have an idea.
Don’t flaunt wealth.
Don’t participate in rich people things. Excepting private aircraft, the trappings of richness are generally unnecessary.
Private aircraft in the day of Covid and post-9/11 rock, however. Absolutely awesome.
But no one but your pilots need to know you have one.
If I was rich Id keep a low profile I think.
You are smart.
Perchik: Money is the world’s curse.
Tevye: May the Lord smite me with it. And may I never recover.
I can identify with this somewhat. I'm not as rich as these folks but a millionaire. On paper anyhow. At least my 401(k) shows in seven digits and I do okay with income.
It does make it awkward with family and friends. If you get them expensive gifts, you are showing off and "lording it over them." If not, then you are a cheapskate. Can't win either way.
Still I'd rather be where I am as opposed to struggling.
My advice to the younger folks is to max out 401(k) and Roth IRA and work hard. Always be working. Even if you have to take jobs you feel are "beneath you." And live below your means - stay out of debt! The rest will follow over time.
