Wow, I didn't realize Olenna Tyrell in Game Of Thrones was also Emma Peel from the Avengers. RIP

I loved The Avengers! That and The Rat Patrol were my favorite TV shows.

She was smoking hot in the 60s and 70s, with a brain and wit to match. True original. Riveting in the Bond film “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service,” in which she became she only Bond wife (briefly).

I was dismissive of Game of Thrones when it first came out, but after watching one or two episodes, I latched on to it because of the interesting plot twists, and especially the witty and sarcastic dialogue.
Riggs character, Olena Tyrell, was among the best in that regard.

She was really something! Beautiful inside and out. Talented and hard-working. RIP, Ms. Rigg. You will be missed.

She generated fantasies in many a teenage boy who saw her wearing the leather jump suit in the Avengers.

My wife is English and will be heartbroken to hear this. Our daughter is named Emma, not exclusively, but certainly in part after Ms. Riggs' character.

She had the skill of being incredibly sexy while still being subtle about it. Today’s actresses could learn from that.
RIP, Mrs. Peel.

She was also excellent as Lady Dedlock in the BBC adaptation of “Bleak House” (1985).

RIP for one of my adolescent crushes. Watching her do Shakespeare with Vincent Price in Theater of Blood was worth the price of admission all by itself - phenomenal cast in that one as well. Wonderful actress.
To: where's_the_Outrage?
I also recommend “Theatre of Blood”, where she co-starred with Vincent Price.
RIP Emma Peel.

The Avengers was one of my favorite shows when I was a kid. Mrs Peel was smoking hot!
