San Francisco Shouldn’t Expect Indoor Dining Until ‘Mid October,’ Maybe Later(Crushing)

San Francisco...has had the green light from state officials to serve food indoors since August 31, but when city officials announced its new roadmap to reopening, restaurants weren’t even on the list. According to the head of the city’s restaurant lobby, talks with San Francisco officials are ongoing, but she doesn’t expect any changes to the current plan for six weeks, maybe more.

Santa Clara also went into the red on Tuesday, but won’t allow indoor dining, saying via a statement that while some business sectors will reopen, for now, restaurants must stick with outdoor service.

DPH spokesperson says that “As long as San Francisco continues to make progress slowing the spread of COVID-19 we can get businesses and workers back on their feet,” Thomas says that restaurants are unlikely to welcome patrons inside any time soon. “Currently,” Thomas says, “I would not plan on indoor dining being allowed anytime before early to mid October at the earliest.”

It really makes me sad that people ona board for Americans take utter delight in one of our states’ destruction. New York City indoor dining opens november 1st. It might be too late to save my friend’s restaurants but at least it’s a chance

hopefully 50% by November 1st. It is what it is.

I know many of you are rooting for those cities and those restaurants and those people’s lives to be ruined but I’m not.

instead of gloating so much white on some of you drove $5 to Free republic every now and then.

this board has thousands and thousands of members, mostly from the south and Midwest and you guys took a big game but when your statues fail you did nothing and a lousy $88,000 can’t be paid off in two days every quarter.

Alll talk and no action. It’s a bad combination

Buona sera

I went to my local restaurant this morning to get some take out food and they were open for indoor dining. Only every other table was available. This is in Orange County, California.

One of America’s great culinary cities, wiped out.

Same with NYC.

Only New Orleans, and Las Vegas left standing, but hobbled.

We have lost at least several billion dollars in restaurants alone.

I think it is retarded to eat outdoors to avoid a virus. Nothing like all the other bugs and feces and crap getting into your food while thinking the air indoors is somehow unacceptable.

Well, and this is rhetorical, how are you going to overcome average temperatures for outdoor dining in:
November 55° / 42° 7 days
December 44° / 31° 8 days

BTW, the weather in San Francisco won’t be any better than NYC as the fog layer and wind pickup later October and then just for fun: Rain here
Sleet and snow there...

32 reported deaths with Chicom flu in the entire state of CA on monday. So the real number is probably around a dozen. Totally insane and/or political to keep the lock down up at this point.

Considering the conditions that come with NYC’s indoor dining, I’m not sure they’ll have a lot of takers.

I'm not either, however sometimes one has to eat a bit of poison to learn it's poisonous...

uh, nope.

Maybe 2 died, supposedly, of CCP-19

They were off by 5600% on their counts of 170,000 dead of Covid and it turned out to be closer to 9,700
