Sadly no. They have locked-in big money television and sponsorship contracts that run years into the future. It matters to them little anymore whether your butt ever lands in a stadium seat.

Of course after an extended period of time ESPN would be forced to file bankruptcy, and THEN they might have a problem.

Nope - still making money. TV broadcast ‘rights’ for one, DirecTv paying to be the ONLY legal way to see any game (NFL Sunday Ticket), and with the move of the Raiders to Las Vegas, betting has come to the NFL. The Broncos have 3 sports betting/book sponsors!
