I lost a job over politics a decade ago. Suffered through the brutality of the Obama election cycle in this particular workplace.
There are a lot of discriminatory practices people are protected from by law. Unfortunately, political party affiliation isn’t one of them. If they want to keep you from working a job they can.
This is why it is important to be industrious, imaginative, and entrepreneurial. Having a secondary skill to fall back on is going to be critical in the years ahead. And knowing who your friends are, who your trusted network is, and how to communicate off the internet.
Firing people for their political views is standard communist/totalitarian method. We better get used to it in Bernies America. It goes well with the free education and healthcare, and with the lack of toilet paper. BTW the education and healthcare will be denied to the incorrect persons too!
