A Brookfield mom whose comments on Muslims and mask wearing got her banned from Elmbrook Schools is suing the district

A Brookfield resident who earlier this month made comments against masks and social distancing and who criticized Elmbrook School Board member Mushir Hassan has filed a lawsuit against the Elmbrook School District.

Heidi Anderson, whose children attend school in the district, filed the lawsuit Aug. 24 in the U.S. Eastern District Court of Wisconsin.(snip)

Anderson claims the district violated her right to freedom of speech, right to vote, rights as a parent of both minor plaintiffs, due process rights and right to equal protection.(snip)

Hansen said it was "truly unfortunate" that Anderson's conduct forced the district to establish the protocols.(snip)

Anderson claims that the ban infringes on her ability to pick up her children from school, attend events and bars her from voting. She also claimed that both of her children were compelled to opt for virtual instruction, and said she and one of her daughters suffer from respiratory illnesses that make prolonged face mask use "unusually difficult and potentially hazardous to their health."

Anderson is seeking a court order to prevent the district from enforcing its ban of her from school properties, censoring her, defaming her, punishing her for her speech and restricting future in-person enrollment. She is also seeking monetary damages.(snip)

After Elmbrook School Board President Scott Wheeler told Anderson to avoid defamatory comments, she said, addressing Hassan:

“This is not defamatory. I’m stating facts. You’re a leader of the Islamic community, are you not? My kids are Christians. They are not subject to face coverings. Christian children should not be forced to wear face coverings any more than children who are Islamic or Muslim should be forced to — as you’ve put it — be subject to the American style of sexualization of children that have to wear less clothing than you’re comfortable with your children wearing.”

ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL

This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)

The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.

Heidi doesn't sound very happy, does she?

There ARE ways to become less unhappy but they involve our Lord. He brings peace to hearts and souls.

Life is SO much more than school boards and foreigners. She COULD have peace of mind, heart and soul...but she must accept our good Lord into her mind, heart, soul and life.

Huh? Heidi sounded fine. She is a Christian standing up for her religious rights under our Constitution.

Could be an very interesting case esp. if parent Anderson gets defendant (school official) Hassan to admit under oath that a face covering is “NOT” MANDATORY in the Moslem religion and that all Moslem branches MUST DO IT.

The same issue has already been proven in my religion, Judaism. There are Jewish religious groups who take the Old Testament literally about covering one’s head, wearing modest dress (as do the Amish, some Quakers, etc), not shaving the facial hairs or cutting head hairs, eating a certain way and foods, etc. However, it is NOT FORCED on other Jewish segments who chose not to practice those specific religious manners of living. It is a voluntary choice for how to practice one’s religion peacefully.

Other segments of Judaism have modified practices regarding these Old Testament “laws”. Some keep kosher; some don’t. Some ride in cars to shual on the Sabbath; others don’t.

It is very important to find out from Moslem scholars and clergy whether there are any social or physical penalties that would happen to a woman/children who do not cover their heads and faces.

Criminal cases which would be brought up by the plaintiff would show that in some Moslem religious groups/families, etc., such penalties exist from beatings and rapes to being tortured and killed, even in the US, but esp. Aghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Syria, Libya, India, the Islamic terrorist run sections of Nigeria/Mali/Chad, Somalia, etc.

Mrs. Anderson is NOT GUILTY!

Double-plus-good !!!

This is EXACTLY what Americans need to do. The wrong-doers have no concept for a population that actually fights back. It’s time they learn.

The more We The People keep the pressure on — in big ways and in small ways — the better the chances of eventual success. That applies not just to this incident, but also to every other aspect of life. “Start small, win big”.

The LAUSD nearby kept calling me they left voice mail that my son was enrolled at 4th grade but never showed up. Showed up, what? Online? Zoom? “Screw it, my son not coming back for 2020-21 school year. He's been taking day classes online at Pensocola Christian Academy, it's his 43th school day today!” Where's that Pensacola? I said Florida. I didn't say Abeka Academy but saying so is irrelevant. He's more motivated looking at 42” 4K HDTV screen with a real teacher than at 17.3” zoom’ng...
