This same crowd tried to disrupt the Democrat convention in 2000 by starting a riot at Staples Center while marching another column to Parker Center.
LAPD corralled the ones at Staples and drove them under the freeway (which had wisely been fenced off prior) and broke up and scattered the supporting column.
It was a thing of beauty.
In 2000, in Los Angeles, the mayor was Richard Riordan (r) as nd the chief of police was Bernard Parks. I think that would not happen with the current mayor and chief of police.
