I have been shot by a BB gun. My childhood was kind of like the Wild West. If I went crazy on the shooter, I wouldn’t chance it with a bear. But, your results may vary.

The dogs are going and going, trying to get close to a bear and chasing it until it climbs a tree to get away from the dogs. Bears run faster than dogs, but they know dogs don’t climb trees, so they’ll take refuge up a tree until the dogs leave.So big coons basically

nice read BUT you never shoot the bear out with dogs still treeing under the tree ( you can guess why )..ya got to leash them and pulled them off the tree...that will put hair on your chest pulling dogs off a bear tree...a skinned bear looks like a skinned human being...still have a bear penis tooth pick...we have some real bear dog persons in this forum

BFL. But I can say, I caught the ricochet from my old Daisy lever-action BB rifle when I was a kid (it’s still functional and in my late dad’s old bedroom closet, BTW) and it stung like hell.

Be thankful it was only a bear with a bb gun and not a bear with a high powered rifle! Us more heavily armed bears are not so easy!
