Schrage told Maria, “Halper was not that engaged up to the point he crossed paths with Page and Christopher Steele’s former MI6 boss Sir Richard Dearlove…”
Schrage said he was surprised that Stefan Halper was making over a half a million dollars for writing reports for the government.
Schrage said the key part, the real smoking gun in this is, “All these tentacles lead back to the “small group” including Stefan Halper in SpyGate, Christopher Steele at the center of Russiagate, Stefan Halper’s FBI handler. None of the Senate has subpoenaed or called these people to talk in four years. I think that is the real smoking gun. How are these people being protected?“
Steven Schrage also added that Halper bragged that David Ignatius was one of his press media contacts. Schrage added, “So it seems to me that this is something that needs to be investigated.”
Schrage then added that he believes there were quite a few Republicans involved in leaking this damning smears against the Trump campaign.

I despise Paul Ryan..... however I don’t know if I’m ready to accuse him of treason, because that is what this is....
I would ONLY call it treason if he knew it was a hoax and went along with it. I am not saying that. What I will say is that congress has an oversight responsibility and Nunes was 100% correct that something was amiss (in fact, he only knew a portion of it was rotten) and Ryan STOPPED him from pursuing it and never dug any further. Why? Because he is a republicrat and did not like Trump.
Ryan failed to do his job and he screwed Nunes by going along with the democrat ploy (led by Schiff) to recuse Nunes from being the head of his committee on the same kind of flimsy nonsense they used to recuse Sessions. It was BS and instead of supporting the bravest GOP congressman and allowing him to proceed Ryan stabbed him in the back.
That is my .02 and I cannot forgive him for what he did and didn’t do.
