I got my hair done a couple weeks ago here in NH and the haitdresser was telling me about the influx of NYCers. She said property is so hot now that there are actually bidding wars going on with houses and some of them are going for 20-30k more than list price.
I sure am glad that we made our move last year. I am so grateful for the property that we have.
I’m thankful that you made your move, last year, too, dear metmom.
These people moving in, from NYC are the ones (obviously) not going back.
Cuomo’s ‘I’ll buy you a drink’ offer must sound especially petty.
I am aware of two properties in VT that went for $50k and $80k over asking in the last month. One 38 acre parcel with a decrepit camp, located half a mile away from us, has been on the market for three years, with one or two showings a year. In the past four months it’s had 15, and sold - thankfully to a local. The seller told us 12 of the showings were to NY, MA & NJ residents.
Good to hear - I am selling a house here in Southern NH this month!
(Not leaving NH, just moved to another house nearby recently.)
I doubt a hardcore NY Dem would want to move here though - there are “Trump 2020” signs everywhere in the Plaistow area!
