been on this for months. look through my comment history. zinc picolinate has best uptake. I studied this in depth. QC is a ionophore just like HQL. ZP passes cell walls (into RBCs) whereas the other forms like feric and sulfate, etc. do not easily (Small study). ZP passes much more easily because of its charge.

The other thing to be on is D3. Just the regular dose of old lady pills (Caltrate) is sufficient. It has D3 to allow calcium uptake and the dosage is adequate (NHS study of 12,000). Theory goes that it helps to fortify cell walls in sufficiently high doses and is critical for cell wall integrity in that deficiency leaves your cell walls like swiss cheese. Caltrate dosage seems to prevent/lessen severity of bacterial/viral respiratory diseases with statistical virtual certainty.

It’s a shame the “task force” to my knowledge has not ever mentioned Vit D status. It would probably have an effect on the regular flu season as well if people would consider these 3 supplements.

I have been on Vitamin D3 gelcaps for years - 2000 IU’s a day. Have just recently bumped that up to 5000 IU’s a day.

But a friend told me I need to take Vitamin K to help my cells absorb the Vitamin D3.

Do you know anything about this Vitamin K and is it necessary?
