I don’t know, but if the virus isn’t transmitted in blood, I guess they wouldn’t have to toss it.
Come to think of it, maybe the antibodies would protect others from getting the virus.

The handing of the liquids and contaminated solids is highly regulated with detailed records documentation for inventory, management and disposal. Disposal is by incineration at a licensed facility.
