ALDI Little Salad Bar, Giant Eagle, Hy-Vee, Jewel-Osco Signature Farms, ShopRite Wholesome Pantry, and Walmart Marketside.
What is so difficult about making your own salad fresh daily.
Peeps are so frigen lazy
Crap. We ate a bag of the Wal-Mart Marketside the other day. Still had another bag in the refrigerator. Threw it all away just now.
Mine from Weis Market is Z197 A05A, Sweet Buttercrunch Lettuce. I’m pitching it anyway.
I use an Ozone generator purpose made for this sort of thing,
and bubble ozone through my bagged salad and produce.
I dont know if it also kills parasites
(Use with plenty of ventilation.)

I’ve got Trader Joe’s Cobb Salad and Caesar Salad mixes but they’re in a plastic container not a bag. Does that count?
We get Aldi Little Salad Bar all the time, fortunately not in our states. (OH & MI)
Never liked the idea of vegies in plastic bags on store shelves. Now more reason then ever to avoid the “convenience” and get vegies whole from the produce section.
If I wear a mask will that help?
We need to wear masks to prorotect ourselves from the vegetable virus!
With Shoprite, I am surprised that CT, NY, and NJ did not get the note.
Any deaths, if they were to occur, I’m sure will be chalked up to Covid.
This alert is rather outdated: JUNE 28.
Chances are that any recently purchased are good.
I recall seeing this alert and IIRC Walmart product numbers started with a Z.
I have read so many stories of bad lettuce that I simply will no longer eat any vegetable which can’t be thoroughly washed first.
About Cyclosporiasis
Cyclosporiasis is a diarrheal illness caused by the protozoan parasite, Cyclospora cayetanensis. People become infected with Cyclospora by consuming food or water that has been contaminated with feces that contain the parasite.
....Cyclospora needs to be in the environment for about 1 to 2 weeks after being passed in stool to become infectious for another person. Because of this, it is not spread directly from one person to another. ....
...Symptoms of cyclosporiasis usually include:
Watery diarrhea
Stomach cramps
Loss of appetite
Weight loss
Slight fever
Nausea
Fatigue
Symptoms usually begin about 1 week after exposure to the parasite but can begin as short as 2 days or as long as 2 weeks after exposure to the parasite.
If the infection is not treated, symptoms can last for a few days to months. The symptoms may go in cycles in which you seem to get better for a few days, then feel worse, before the illness ends. ...
...Treatment
The treatment of choice is trimethoprim/sulfamethoxazole, sold under the trade names Bactrim, Septra, and Cotrim. No highly effective alternative antibiotic has been identified yet for people who have a sulfa allergy or whose symptoms do not get better after the standard treatment. Contact your healthcare provider to discuss treatment options. Diarrhea should be managed by drinking plenty of fluids to prevent dehydration.
Prevention
You can reduce your risk of getting cyclosporiasis by following these recommendations:
Avoid food or water that may have been contaminated with feces.
Washing of produce, or routine chemical disinfection or sanitizing methods, are unlikely to kill Cyclospora.
Use caution when traveling in countries, especially those in tropical and subtropical regions, with minimal water treatment and sanitation systems by avoiding tap water, fountain drinks, ice, and raw foods like fresh produce.

Much safer to eat meat. It seems every outbreak of food poisoning for 20 years has been lonked to lettuce.
