An elder at our church was in the hospital for 3 weeks, and 6 weeks later is still incapacitated.
He is 46 and has no preexisting conditions, not even overweight.
It is real.
Agreed, but such result is not real for many, many patients.
Many of them simply have what looks like a nasty flu, and get on with their lives in a few days.
I’m hoping it’s that way for my nephew. The irony is his family’s home was on lock-down near the start of this due to a woman from our area going to a bar, infecting a girl who visited them including my elder BIL.
None of the 4 adults and 1 toddler in that home (which INCLUDES my Hopkins COVID unit niece) got infected. And the woman who started it? She was fine in 3 days, telling all in a news story as much.

It may be real, but the death rate does NOT warrant lock down. My friend at the CAF who is 79 had it in March, his words “ it was the worst flu I ever had”....I tend to agree with him, bad flu.... I know only one other friend, 42, tested positive fours weeks ago, still waiting for the “ sickness” to strike him down....he said he had allergy , pollen like symptoms....this will go down in history as the world’s biggest hoax.

Co-worker of my wife’s died about 2 months ago from it in NYC. 38 years old - no pre-existing issues whatsoever.
A friend of mine got it in China back in January and came back here to spread it to her hubby. Neither went to the hospital but they are convinced they had it.
