Really? I don't think we're even LOSING that many, per day.
I just happened to think, with all of the 'yutes" out on the streets spreading Covid-19 so effectively, what if those are the bulk of the losses? Well, actually they wouldn't be lost as far as I am concerned, but what if? Or, what if they are such hate filled and angry anarchists against the biased system that they don't vote on some lopsided principle? I had a Libertarian friend who chose not to vote at all because he felt he would be giving tacit approval for politicians he could not approve of.
Yes, we're all gonna die. Only question is how.
Im getting very tired of all the idiots on FreeRepublic who pretend this isnt dangerous. Its extremely dangerous.
I see an analogy with motor vehicles. Many people are seriously injured or even die as a result of motor vehicles. But they are not banned nor are there draconian regulations limiting their use. Instead, some people are banned from driving while there are restrictions on everyone else. And these regulations have general support from the public.
What is happening with this corona virus is that some people think the regulations are draconian and unnecessarily harsh, so they are reacting (or over-reacting) accordingly.
The fact is very few would say its not dangerous. But the concern is the reaction being much more dangerous.
You have echoed my concern, that the cure is worse than the disease. And Im thinking specifically of the restrictions imposed by governments, they go too far. You cant consider only the number of infections and the number of deaths caused by the virus, you also have to consider the hardships and suffering caused by the restrictions.
LOL. What an asshat you are.
That’s just it. We’ve known for months who the rona affects, how, and why. But the authorities will not act on that knowledge. Flattening the curve has become flattening the economy and controlling the people.
A quick web search gave me the figure that ~7500 Americans die daily of all causes. The supposed average of deaths to date from from the rona, beginning mid-March through mid-July (a four month span) is ~1000 day. %13.3 of all causes. But that number is falling. Nor is it an accurate number due to the murky nature of what counts as a death from the rona. I think it’s lower.
Amen bump!
I just got an email this morning from the Kim family, their mother, Eun Ju Kim, died on July 14 from lung damage from COVID. She was 60. That’s three members from the same family, mother, father and grandmother. Only the two kids are left alive now.
Here is the link to an original story I posted on the family:

While it doesnt state in the obit that he died of Covid - he did. He and his wife contracted it. He died. No other health issues.
If you believe anyone hasnt died from i this, then you are a fool.
PROVE IT. Prove that anyone hasnt died from this disease, dont sit there like a simpering coward and regurgitate what you heard from your sister-mom while playing a banjo around the campfire.
See how that works?
Prove what?
There is no age group in which COVID deaths exceed the total caused by flu and pneumonia. Looking only at the flu, COVID is significantly less deadly than the flu for children under the age of 14, and causes less than 3% of all deaths in persons under the age of 35.
That suggests that there’s something about the way those numbers are constructed, or that the flu lethality is off the charts this year, or...that Pneumonia is the symptom. That would require deeper digging, but in any case clearly can’t be taken the way you’ve presented.
The chart is notable for its opacity, I’ll grant you that.
Something else weird now that I look more closely at your prompting: it reports 121K “COVID’ deaths, 131K Pneumonia deaths, and 52K “pneumonia AND COVID” deaths. Which must make sense to the CDC, but needs further information to interpret for anyone else. Including, apparently, me.
The fake UPS lawyer who shot the judge’s husband. He was only 72.
