Technically those were drugs *in* Floyd...not on him.

“Rectum!” he replied, “Hell, it killed ‘im!”

Reminds me of the story of the butcher who backed into his meat grinder. And the woman who backed into the airplane propeller.

“I’ll wait for the actual facts to come out from expert testimony and evidence...”

Maybe this will help:

https://www.hennepin.us/-/media/hennepinus/residents/public-safety/documents/Autopsy_2020-3700_floyd.pdf

From the autopsy:

III. No life-threatening injuries identified
A. No facial, oral mucosal, or conjunctival petechiae
B. No injuries of anterior muscles of neck or laryngeal
structures
C. No scalp soft tissue, skull, or brain injuries
D. No chest wall soft tissue injuries, rib fractures (other
than a single rib fracture from CPR), vertebral column
injuries, or visceral injuries
E. Incision and subcutaneous dissection of posterior and
lateral neck, shoulders, back, flanks, and buttocks
negative for occult trauma

Court transcripts are about as factual as the attornies in the case will allow. An example is the Simpson trial when a huge amount of pertinent evidence was thrown out because of the determination that the investigating officer first on the scene was determined racist and that was leaked to the jury.

https://www.nytimes.com/1995/01/14/us/issue-of-racism-erupts-in-simpson-trial.html

So how much of the Floyd case will actually make it to the court, how it’s presented, and how the court interprets it will obviously be in question, just like it always is in high profile cases and before it reaches the jury. Court actions are determinations of provided evidence, not fact finding to the extent of the evidence, but the extent of the law. Different animal.
