Poppies do really well in the Cottage Garden in Surrey, England, as well as other cornfield annual flowers that used to be common in crop fields. In the morning it all kicks off - the Poppies open, the Bumble Bees make a bee line for them filling the air with buzzing and the Blackbird sings his heart out! At dusk the Poppies all finsih until the next morning. This is in the vegetable patch, filled with Onions, Potatos, Beans, Courgettes and Cucumbers which are hard to see among the flowers. They all seem to get along fine though

Wow, how beautiful! Wonder if they also do beekeeping?
That question remains unanswered; but, I would think so.
It seems the English are quite apt at bee keeping.
