Race is an invention of man. God created Adam. It was through sin the division of mankind was created. Joseph was given a coat of many colors and it got him thrown into the pit, the experience from which many lives were saved. Do you see the analogy?

prior to Darwin, “race” meant something like nationality; e.g., Irish race. Darwin opened the door to genetic-based racism, as though some humans were more evolved than others. The Bible teaches that we are all relatively-recent descendants of Adam and Eve. Some Bible scholars say 6 or 8,000 years ago (”young earth creations”). Going by the best scientific evidence, maybe 50 to 200,000 years ago. Still, much too short a time for much evolution to occur. Our skin color didn’t evolve but was filtered from the mix of original colors (or, shades) through survival of the fittest. All the races, as we know understand the word are the master race of their climate zone. Of course, today, with heating and air conditioning and such, that doesn’t matter any longer. I am sorry, but Darwin let loose something really insidious with his doctrine of evolution.
As far as I can tell we aren’t told Tamar’s ethnic background (Hebrew or Canaanite). Rahab was evidently a Canaanite as a resident of Jericho. Bathsheba/Bathshua, who had been the wife of Uriah the Hittite, was evidently an Israelite based on her father’s name.
