On second thought - just trying to understand what happened because such a policy is so ridiculous.

Reddit mentions “communities.” Do users set up their own “communities” on Reddit? If so, do those users establish their own rules for their communities? Maybe a Reddit community established that policy for its own group.

Otherwise, it must be a joke post.

Reddit communities set up their own rules buy follow reddit guidelines like states following federal laws.
