Allen, I feel your pain :-)

I’m in Austin, home of the militant-maskers. The other day as I stood just inside the front door of the local HEB, a masked 4’-11” 200lb. bundle of female joy rushed up to me and screamed “I HOPE YOU F*CKING DIE!!” several times before waddling off toward the salad dressing aisle.

(I think her posterior mass is more of a threat to her than my (lack of a) mask, but that’s only with THIS week’s “facts” about our pandemic.)

Since then, I fashioned a “mask” by cutting the sleeve from an old stretch tee shirt. I wear it around my neck like a bandana and pull it up over my nose as needed...a pain in the ass for sure, but the easiest fix I can think of right now.

I saw one with “This mask is as useless as my mayor” printed on it, but it was too expensive and most people already know that :-)

Good luck on Abbott’s address...maybe just leave a note at the Capitol...it’s just up the street from the painted message on Congress Ave.

Stay safe and laugh at the freak show.

The only reason I make a pro-forma effort to mask is that Austin seems determined to kill off any small business that's survived so far by imposing a $1000 per incident fine on businesses that don't enforce mask wearing on their premises. And they want to send out an army of self-important snitches to report any violations they see.

The Stasi would be proud at how well the sheeple cooperate in their own imprisonment.

Folks, it's becoming clearer by the day that Covid is far less deadly and far more treatable than most believe, especially if all they listen to is the MSM 24/7 panic messaging. When you get it (and yes, I said when, because that's the simple math of contagion and the containment horse has long left the barn) if you even notice that or have more than mild symptoms, find yourself a doctor who doesn't worship at the altar of Fauci and the CDC and you'll be fine. It's better to be exposed in the Summer when our immune systems are at their strongest and the virus is at its weakest then to wait until the Fall/Winter when the opposite will be true.

The strategy is obvious: keep everything locked up until November 3rd. Come November 4th if Slow Joe by some hook or crook shenanigans wins, the media will promptly do a 180 and celebrate the fact that the pandemic is now officially over and all the good drones should return to work. And the sheeple will do so with a smile.

Samuel Adams said it best:

If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.

I wanted to get one with the word "OBEY" (from the movie "They Live"), but Jesu, they wanted $11.95 for one. I took a big Sharpie on a cheapie white mask and wrote the same. Also wore this T-Shirt

as an accessory. Wore the shirt, but not the mask in WalMart and Smiths. Got a few looks but nothing else.
