Don't forget, the ultra-corrupt Tammany Hall government of NYC, which held power from the 1850s through the 1930s, was a Democrat Party machine.

The term "Tammany Hall" is just a scam used to enable historians to avoid assigning the words "Democratic Party" to this regime of unbelievable corruption, with everything for sale and every politician down to the level of ward-heeler living like sultans.

It finally got cleaned up by Mayor Fiorello La Guardia, who was — guess what — a Republican.

...and the Dems in the house specifically worded the relief legislation to prevent companies affiliated with anyone in government from receiving the loans. They did this, of course, to punish Pres. Trump.

Nancy, meet your own petard.

*yawn* A politician making money illicitly?

I can’t do anything about it, and certainly no one in the political class will.

Nancy Pelosi’s spokesman described Paul Pelosi as an investor in the firm, which turned up in loan-level disclosures for the program that were released Monday by the Treasury Department and Small Business Administration. In addition, three foundations associated with congressional caucuses turned up as loan recipients.

EDI Associates is listed as a recipient of a loan between $350,000 and $1 million. The same company was listed in Nancy Pelosi’s latest House financial disclosure report filed in May 2019, for the year 2018. Paul Pelosi is a businessman and investor.

“He’s an investor. So, he was not aware the loan was applied for,” said spokesman Drew Hammill of Pelosi’s husband, emphasizing also that he was a limited investor. . .

The data released Monday also show that the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation and the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute each received PPP loans of between $350,000 and $1 million.

Erica Southerland, a spokeswoman for the CBC Foundation, released a statement explaining the loan was sought for use toward payroll costs and other eligible expenses, and “will allow for seamless continuance of our nonprofit, nonpartisan mission to advance the global black community by developing leaders, informing policy, and educating the public.”

“Without this assistance, the CBCF would have faced a 30% reduction in the overall organizational budget impacting more than 25 employees,” according to the statement. “In addition, the CBCF provides paid, need-based fellowship and internship opportunities to equip future leaders and increase diversity on Capitol Hill.”

A spokeswoman for the CHC Institute did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

A spokesman for a third group that’s listed as receiving a loan for between $350,000 and $1 million, the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The democRAT creepozoids have been doing this for ages. Diane Feinstein was the head of a congressional committee, and funneled millions to her husband. When it was divulged, the chairmanship of the committee was taken away, but no other penalties. This happened many, many years ago. Dems can only enrich themselves through taking other people’s money in government.
