At 91, a hip fracture is pretty much a death sentence. RIP.
Any fracture for that matter. At 82 my dad fell and fractured his shoulder...he didn’t last the night.
The Danish National Symphony has the very best renditions of Morricone’s work especially “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly”. Its readily available on You Tube.
His work on The Mission was astonishingly good.
RIP.

Cinema Paradisio and The Mission were my favorite soundtracks.
Yep, if you have elderly, you have to be there when they take a bath/shower, that’s when these things tend to happen.
Watched it many times..perfection-better than original!
RIP
Why is that? Is it because fracture causes other complications? I cannot imagine a fracture in a hip would stop the heart.
RIP
I have seen that. It is an interesting to see it performed.
My friend broke her hip at the age 95.
It killed her 6 1/2 years later at 101 and 5 months...
Yo Yo Ma has a great album of Morricone music. His cello works extremely well with the compositions.

If the body is experiencing any type of infection the fracture allows it to enter the blood stream. At that advanced age the Imune system cannot fight back..at least that’s what happened to my dad.
