There was the NBA’s “Capital Bullets” at one time.
Apparently for that team name changing is a tradition. They’ve done it 6 times.
The franchise was established in 1961 as the Chicago Packers based in Chicago, Illinois, and were renamed to Chicago Zephyrs the following season. In 1963, they relocated to Baltimore, Maryland, and became the Baltimore Bullets, taking the name from a previous team of the same name. In 1973, the team changed its name to the Capital Bullets to reflect their move to the Washington metropolitan area, and then to Washington Bullets in the following season. In 1997, they rebranded themselves as the Wizards.

Yep, I remember the Capital Bullets. Then they became the Washington Bullets.
Then the owner deleted the Bullets nickname, because he was concerned about encouraging or endorsing gun violence.
No word on whether the youth gangs got rid of their guns when the Bullets became the Wizards.
Bullets. Now that’s as offensive as can be, bringing up images of racist police stalking young, unarmed Blacks. NBA should be canceled today, for past infractions of Wokeness. That’s the it works now, according to precedent of the New Rule of Being Woke, which will replace the Constitution.
Gadzooks, all this woke shite is grinding me down.
