Obviously the guy didn’t want a ticket. He wanted trouble.
So the cop should be a pussy and let him go?
He would not comply with what the officer told him to do.
The officer had no reason to believe he wouldn't just walk off, run off, get back in the vehicle and drive off, or attack the officer.
He was not being cooperative, so how was the officer supposed to write a ticket?
The officer could not just let him back into the vehicle, when he seemed likely to be impaired.
That would put the public at risk.
