Having lived in Chicago area for 37 years I had my run-ins with corrupt Chicago cops. But I was intelligent enough to never to disobey the cops. I got even with them in traffic court, where the judge was the boss, not the cop.

What explains the young man's smart ass behavior? Was he trying to be confrontational with the Ranger? Why? I know he might not have deserved to get shot, but did he have some kind of behavioral disorder?
