I’ve finally met the enemy head on in personal life. My county (in Texas even) has mandated masks in all business. I refuse to accept this mark of the beast. Most merchants are accommodating. But the ones who aren’t have been receiving my wrath.
I was turned down for a take-out order at a Mediterranean restaurant we like the other day since I wouldn’t wear a mask to the counter. I left, abandoning my order. I then called in an order for multiple family meals, well over $100. When I got the call back that my order was ready, I cancelled for “non-service.” I told them to eat it themselves and choke on it.
Other than fuel for the vehicles, I can order about anything else I need for routine living.
I will do everything possible to annoy, ignore, and confound the local karen-gaggle.
Downtown Columbia has an order in force. Sadly I had to cancel some things I go to for a while.
There was a story on WIS here about how the mask thing has affected local businesses for the worse.
