I have several pineapple shawl patterns, but this is the first one I’ve seen that isn’t triangular. I have one pattern I love but have never been able to master the beginning of, and each time, I give up in disgust and go find something else to crochet.

THIS one may be the one I finish! Thanks!

You will be able to do this one, I’m sure! I watched the first part of the video (first couple of rows) and Mikey is an EXCELLENT teacher. He makes it really clear as to what you’re doing on each row ... then you just repeat.

I skipped to the end to see how the shawl is finished off & that is “easy” as well. The only issue I have is that the last row is not finished off (only finishing on 3 sides) .... I am sort of obsessed with things being equal, even, etc. For example, I cannot part my hair on the side ... has to be in the middle. That being said, I would likely find a way to finish off that 4th side somehow - just my “quirkiness”!
