IIRC, SNA was at one time the busiest in the world, including all the private plane takeoffs & landings. Not nearly as many private prop planes there anymore, but still quite a few, plus scores of private jets.
However, the Airport leaders are in the process of carving out a new terminal for business jets, including international - and they'll be allowed to takeoff & land after regular hours according to an early account I read.
