How about making a speech on 9/11/2001, blaming the United States for provoking the attacks.

Not a bit surprised about the first item you listed. I remember in the lead up to the '08 election, there were articles that the Bidens annually earned upwards of $200-300k combined in the decade prior, yet only averaged a few hundred dollars a year in charitable contributions.

And while they may be donating more these days, a good chunk of that goes to assorted Biden family charities.
