Indeed. What our this idiot city council is saying, is that vagrants, drug-dealers and prostitutes are mostly black and brown - AND that’s its an inseparable part of their character and culture.
And ironically these laws were promulgated by "Progressives" from the late 19th and early 20th century !
Well, that’s mighty white of Seattle. And racist.
How can any rational person still want to live in that nutty and dangerous city?
Racial “origins” in effect, not intent. Racial in the modern usage of the word because Negros are the most involved in the street level drug trade and in street prostitution. We need to repeal all the laws against murder, too, because they are applied unevenly by race . Murders also happen to be unevenly applied by race but that is a fact we are not allowed to consider.
I’m in Alabama and would be quite pleased to play whatever role I’m tasked with to help with the ‘re-annexation’.
The best way to keep black folks out of jail is make everything legal. That should cover their problem areas.

It’s clear the Seattle City Council thinks black women are prostitutes and black folks deal drugs. I’m not sure where those ideas come from, maybe profiling???

Therefore, we can’t make these actions criminal. That would be racist!
I think there was a significant racial element to the anti-slavery laws. Almost all the people freed by the 13th Amendment were black. How can such a law stand?

Could there be a more flagrant ethnic slur than rescinding laws against prostitution and drug dealing on racial/ethnic grounds? What’s next, striking down laws against public drunkenness and disorderly conduct to accommodate the Irish?

I believe MOST laws are biased based on the sex of the perpetrator. With some 90%+ of all incarcerations being of men, it’s incontestable there is an inherent structural bias.
