On the north side of 60 here. Got a call from a soil dump site that our spoil pile was blocking drainage from catch basins. Met up with a worker 23 years my junior to give me a hand. I surprised him by being able to flip up a 100# basin grate with one arm.
Old farts know how to lift things. Also know when not to. :)

In order to qualify as a Customer one would actually need to buy something, not steal. I know with the media this is a distinction which mystifies them.

I think I picked it up in the Army in the '70's, can't remember exactly, didn't work in the oil patch, it's an interesting colloquialism though.

Maybe the surprise of getting caught with the meat in his hands was just too much.

Don’t make it sound like the employee killed him unless you’re sure he did.
Those cases of milk are heavy. Its weight training with pay. (Personally never worked in a grocery but did sling the full milk cans in and of the cooler.About 100 lbs each.Actually easier than 100lb sacks of feed.)
Having seen brats and others take time out of their live to lick ice cream and put it back among other such things it’s a distinct possibility, and not insulting.
Again, you can steal food without going behind the counter because the6 do put cuts on display anyplace I’m familiar with. And whatever he was doing getting caught doing it led him to attack the employee ... so he was up to no good.
I’d give my right arm to know how the story ends.
