"Chick" is a derogatory term, many women find the term offensive and demeaning because of its flippant nature. It conjures up an image of a group of unshaven t-shirted men at the beach with a pack of cigarettes rolled up in one sleeve leering at a passing woman and referring to her as a "hot chick." Just imagine being that poor woman, just minding her own business at the beach, being objectified in such a manner.

I can't believe that this washed up modern country band, who hasn't had a radio hit in over two decades, would choose a name that is so offensive to women. They must be a bunch of insensitive misogynists who just don't respect women very much.

All this hate directed towards women...when will it stop?
