It's a pandemic which means (pan = all) (Demos = people) exposed no exceptions. All people in the infected area have been exposed meaning our immunity system has killed already. That can be from our innate(passive) or adaptive immune system(antibodies)

The objective of the masks was to attempt to get a low dose of the virus. Quarantine is the only way to avoid to not get infected that time was passed in November/December last year.

All pandemics come in waves. This will be the third wave (October through December was the first unofficially) We've been through the second wave. Next wave most people have been immunized in the US already if they know it or not.

I've warn masks for 20 years in crowded areas on planes and such much like the Japanese do. it's freaking stupid to lower your CO2 levels intentionally for extended periods of time but in specific locations it will reduce your viral load. A large dose is what will get you sick.

Historically a pandemic come waves has always been the first wave is weak. The second wave is always the strongest third wave and on get weaker and weaker until everyone is immunized or enough people immunized for it not to spread much(herd immunity.) Depending on the incubation time is the variance between waves.

So far using CDC figures (mostly manipulated) Covid-19 is the forth worst pandemic to hit the US.

Personally I'm cautious. But not afraid. Vitamin C is the key. The bathroom including the air is where most of us been exposed to this virus as disgusting as that sounds.

I’ve seen and posted on this or previous thread an article by some researcher stating that the virus is already attenuating and becoming less potent as far as causing severe illness. Plus antibodies.

While the Hong Kong Flu is generally listed as 1968-70, its variation was still around causing trouble in 1972-that is when I got it. It started as a mild tickle one morning and by afternoon, I could not breathe and collapsed with severe bronchitis.

The Dr. told me to stay home for 2 weeks. I was in college and could only spare 2 days. I dragged for months. I also was hacking up crap for 5 years after. Worst case I can remember.

I take a vitamin that has vitamin C regualarly and extra C if I feel like I’m coming down with something, but I started taking Vitamin D in 2007, and have had no flu since then. I have never taken a flu shot. Last few years, I also stay home during flu season. So far so good.

I think the most useful data at this point is the hospital utilization, and that’s what I look at for my area. This idea of testing everyone for the flu is kinda nuts to me. If I was going into the hospital during a widespread flu season, I can understand that they might want to make sure whether you had it. Or if you were going to visit a nursing home, it might make sense to take one of those quick tests before you get to see old people.

The idea of going in and testing all the people in a nursing home doesn’t really strike me as necessary. Might need to test staff. I liked the idea of 3 groups-like the military did it at that isolated location.

A group working for 2 weeks while 2cnd group was in quarantine and the 3rd group was off duty. So then the on duty goes off duty, the quarantined go on duty and the other group moves to quarantine.

I am not planning on going anywhere that would require a mask. I do have some surgical masks and n95 masks that I got before Woohu was ever known—had them in case I would get the flu when my Dad lived with me or if I had to take care of him, I’d have used the n95 and he would have used the surgical briefly while I was in the room.

The mask wearing going on by politicians and TV propagandists is kinda silly IMO-especially without goggles.
I’d wear one if I had to get into an elevator with a bunch of people.
