I totally agree. I do have a question however, why do you think people are so afraid of doing something so simple as taking off the stupid masks en mass? At the Trump rally there were pretty much no masks on, and no social distancing. I don’t believe POTUS would put us in harms way, so why are people complying?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I’m guessing they are being made to feel that they are breaking legitimate laws.
In the bible, there’s a section about obeying the law. It never got down to the level of fake laws and coups etc.
There’s social conditioning to consider. Psychologists did an experiment where smoke was pumped under the door of the waiting room in which one test subject, and two other test participants were seated. The participants acted unconcerned and social conditioning of the test participant held them in place, silently flipping the pages of a magazine, while the room filled with smoke. That test subject would look with concern at the others, but as long as they acted like all was well, the test subjected remained silent.
I think decades of “learned helplessness” have taught the public that what they do does not impact anything. It used to be that protests (for good causes) brought change, but with corruption, it brought nothing. Votes, laws, civic action were ignored. Laws that Obama ignored were not enforced. The connection between action and reaction was broken.
Obama promised that the Obamacare legislation would be transparent, offered to the public and fully discussed and understood before being voted on. Then Witch Pelosi and her fake face were animated to form the words, “We have to sign the law so you can see it.” Objections fell on deaf ears. They owned the voting box so they didn’t have to worry about blow back.
The public has seen this and no longer believes what they do matters because government was “broken” for so many years, they don’t think it works “anymore”.
On the subject of “learned helplessness”, there were (cruel) experiments in which the flooring was electrified and a dog was subjected to painful shocks but not allowed to escape.
Once transferred to an area with a low gate he could jump, he lay down whimpering and tolerated the shocks. He had been psychologically conditioned to believe there was no escape - that outside the gate the flooring would shock him too.
We the People have been test subjects in psychological experiments and training for years. No point in criticizing ourselves for being the targets of CIA psychological operations. The MSM was always on hand to “teach” and “reinforce” object lessons etc.
I recall a psychologist commenting, back when I thought it was crazy and a “conspiracy theory”, that our television programming and entertainments were designed to psychologically traumatize the public because traumatized people are more easily controlled and conditioned.
He cited as an example night clubs wherein flashing strobe lights meant people couldn’t see who was approaching them in the dark only to be repeatedly startled with blinding flashes of light which had the effect of distorting otherwise normal perceptions of people who suddenly appeared at close range. He noted that it was like some of the conditions in a battlefield at night, and was designed to induce trauma.
Our television programming is now bizarre. I stopped watching a science-y type program when it stopped being about mystery and turned to gore. The remake of Stephen King’s movie, IT, was incredibly gorey with Pennywise the clown eating the arm of a child in full “technicolor”. My 17 year old friend is so battle hardened by American Horror (the television show) that the constant slayings and betrayals are “exciting” to him.
We have much conditioning to overcome. It’s easy to become frustrated (I confess I am) but some of the public had legitimate traumas that made them more succeeptible to this conditioning, in addition to other burdens (mental health, physical health, job stress,divorce, deaths etc.) and we’ve all had the CIA using the entire population as lab rats for decades. :/
May God open our eyes and set us free again and again.
Thank you both for your replies. ransomnote, I totally agree with the conditioning. How do we get folks to understand these are not legitimate laws?
Also, I know what you mean about the conditioning of watching gore and such. I would add that I have watched a couple of drama series, geared toward women. Both had Reese Witherspoon in them. The messages being sent out were really terrible. Then, when you get together with women friends, they are fawning over this crap. Honestly, I feel so much like I don’t fit in.
Ichabod, as far as people being afraid of being called out. I was on this thread a few days ago, and because I suggested that if cops threaten to arrest for something like not wearing a mask, they should loose their qualified immunity. In other words, threat meets threat. And, cops need to honor their oath. Oh my goodness. I am now according to some a cop hater. And, another poster was not on board with my “pet peeve”. So now, defending the Constitution is a pet peeve.
Sadly, I think there will have to be a threat of gun confiscation for the masses to wake up that these are all illegitimate laws. Not just the one that violates the 2nd amendment.
One more interesting side note: This could just be a coincidence, but I have been noticing how much conditioning has been going on for a while. About a year ago, I rewatched the Andy Griffith show. I was really shocked to see that there are no happily married families in Mayberry. Andy is not married, or Barney. And, they don’t get married during the shows run. Also, Aunt Bea, and her best friend Clara. Clara has an unmarried brother, who they kind of refer to with a wink and a nod as being gay.
Floyd the barber and his idiot nephew Warren, who later became the deputy, both unmarried.
Gober, Gomer. Even the side characters, like the Darling family. Just Mr. Darling and his deliverance style sons. His daughter got married, then asked Andy and Barney to do some voodoo divorce ceremony. Earnest T. Bass as well.
The only married people were the town drunk, Otis. The pandering mayor, andsome loud obnoxious cousins who came for a visit.
The only exception I think is Emmett the fix it guy. think he was married to one of Aunt Bea’s friends.
Anyway, this conditioning started a long time ago.
Thanks again.
