That tells me it was stolen off of your front porch. If the tracking number provides that much information then it was indeed picked up from Walmart by FedEx and it was tracked to all those locations listed. They scan the package at each location, including your location. The other scenario is that FedEx mistakenly delivered your item purchased to the wrong location, and not to your house. That happens too, especially when someone else is covering a route for a driver who called out that day it was delivered.
Regardless as to what happened to the package, Walmart was not at fault. They packed it and shipped it. Once FedEx picks up the package and scans it in, then the problem no longer is a Walmart problem. It now becomes a FedEx problem if you fail to receive your package.
As for the DVD, was it shrink wrapped? If so then it was most likely a robotic packing error that occurred. But then somehow you ended up with 2 DVDs, enabling you to give one away. How did that happen? Were there 2 DVDs in the second package received? If that was the case then it almost confirms the notion of a robotic packing error. Still not Walmart's fault. If you received 2 separate DVDs, then that is Walmart's fault, but you benefited and Walmart suffered another loss.
Does Walmart have problems with thefts, both internally and externally? Of course. But they are not unique with this theft problem. It occurs in most retail establishments brick & mortar as well as online establishments.
Bottom line is: whenever you order something from a website you should follow the tracking number, as there is a lot of opportunities for the item to not be received or stolen along the way.
The Walmart just generated a label.
Fedex showed it awaiting pickup until I chewed some customer support rear ends on the 18th.
Nothing happened from Saturday afternoon the 13th until I VIGOROUS complained on the 18th.
