Washington (CNN)Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas will administer the oath to Vice President-elect Mike Pence next Friday. One of the key issues President-elect Donald Trump campaigned on was filing the Supreme Court seat left vacant by Antonin Scalia. And Pence has taken a lead role in helping choose the next justice.

Seconded. Justice Thomas is a great American patriot! Roberts is a disgrace.
No, Roberts will screw it up and make him retake it in the White House basement (or wherever it was) as happened with Obama.

Not Roberts though I get the sentiment. This is a solemn and serious moment. I think it deserves Justice Clarence Thomas, the GOAT of USSC justices swearing in the GOAT of POTUS.
Why? That would be a piece of cake for him. He's been play acting as a legitimate justice the whole time anyway.
Justice Thomas is fantastic. He grew up in poverty and segregation in the South, went to Catholic school in Savannah where one of the sisters (and his grandfather, with whom he lived and started every day delivering heating oil) kept after him to study. A true American success story.
Remember, Roberts swore O’Bastard in a second time on a Koran.
